Kourtney Goodwill

Assistant Director of Admissions - Western and Southern Wisconsin Office - First Year and Transfer Students

Hometown:

Muskego, WI

Professional/Personal Biography:

I graduated from the University of Dayton in 2018 with my bachelor's degree in International Business Management. Throughout college I got involved with many student jobs and knew that I wanted to continue working in a college or university and I began my career in college admissions at a university in Ohio. About a year later I returned to my home state of Wisconsin to pursue my master's degree and then graduated in 2020 with a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I've always enjoyed being part of the higher education atmosphere and now I get to continue to live that experience through the eyes of incoming students!

Most Memorable College Experience:

There are so many to choose from, but working as an orientation leader allowed me to meet some of my lifelong friends and discover my passion for my current career!

Favorite Marquette Activity:

Exploring the shops and restaurants downtown! There are so many to try out and you can't go wrong with grabbing a coffee or bite to eat and finding a spot to enjoy it overlooking Lake Superior!

Best Advice for Students:

Visit the colleges that you are interested in! Seeing it in person and getting to be on campus gives you a feel for what it's like to be a student at the school. Also, you have the opportunity to make college your own so make sure you get involved in things you enjoy and push yourself out of your comfort zone!
