Northern Michigan University offers a wide variety of resources in its Financial Aid Toolbox to help you understand the financial aid process and to provide you information you will need to help you financially plan your NMU educational experience.

Net Price Calculator: This calculator uses the most current tuition and fee rates to help you estimate the cost of attending Northern Michigan University. Each February, the admission staff update the calculator, changing the current rates to estimated rates for the upcoming academic year. The estimated costs are replaced with the actual tuition and fee rates for the new school year in the summer when they are set by the NMU Board of Trustees, which usually happens in July. So, using this calculator provides estimates using either current or upcoming rates, depending on when you are activating the calculator.

Transfer Student Net Price Calculator: This calculator is similar to the net price calculator listed above however it has been customized to reflect the needs of a transfer student.

Remember, students must complete the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year in order to be eligible for, and receive, an actual financial aid award that includes federal grant, loan or work-study assistance. For more information on applying for federal student aid, please visit http://www.fafsa.gov.
