Errin Jordan

Assistant Director of Admissions - Northern Minnesota Office - First Year and Transfer Students

Hometown:

Mt. Orab, OH

Professional/Personal Biography:

I began my career in Admissions in 2020 (Bemidji State University) after being a university instructor in English and in Women & Gender Studies (University of Cincinnati, University of North Dakota) for many years. I joined the NMU Admissions team in July 2022.

Most Memorable College Experience:

My most memorable college experience was definitely study abroad! I was lucky enough to study at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. I loved my experience so much that I was inspired to live abroad during grad school as well - I taught at the American College of Norway in Moss, Norway for a semester and lived in Dunedin, New Zealand for a whole year! Study abroad sparked a lifelong passion for travel in me, and I am so grateful for the experience.

Favorite Marquette Activity:

Anything on the beautiful lake – going to the beach, swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding are a few of my faves.

Best advice you received regarding college or would give someone else entering college:

My advice would be to get involved in clubs and organizations and find your people! Academics are important and working to earn money is often necessary, but college is special because it gives you the time and space needed to grow and develop personally as well. Let yourself have fun and make connections.
