William Vandament
Vandament Memorial
A public memorial celebrating the life of former Northern Michigan University President William E. Vandament is scheduled from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Monday, April 21, in Vandament Arena. It will feature the pep band, remarks from university representatives and the presentation of a plaque that will hang in the arena named for NMU's 10th president. Click for more info.

Lake Effect Show Choir
NMU's Lake Effect Show Choir will perform a weather-themed concert accompanied with appetizers, desserts and beverages at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, April 23-24, in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center. Tickets are $15 and must be purchased by Monday, April 21. Purchase tickets at Forsberg Flowers or the NMU Music Department (TFA 102). More Info.
Heritage Center
What's On Tap Exhibit
The Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center will hold an opening event for its new exhibit, “What’s On Tap? Brewing in the Upper Peninsula,” from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 19, in 105 Cohodas Hall. The event includes free samples of the Ore Dock Brewery’s Bum’s Beach Wheat, food and live music from the local folk group, Kreb’s Cycle. Admission is free. More information here.
