David S. Haynes
Haynes Named Interim President
The NMU Board of Trustees voted 6-2 in favor of officially seating David Haynes as the university’s interim president at a special meeting Tuesday, May 15.. Haynes, an NMU alumnus who has been professionally affiliated with NMU for 27 years, is replacing Dr. Les Wong who was named president at San Francisco State University.

Flat Broke Blues Band
Blues Concert at NMU
The Flat Broke Blues Band will perform at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 19, in the University Center’s Peter White Lounge as part of the Upper Peninsula Folklife Festival's Coffee House Series.  Admission is free, but donations are encouraged. The group's sound is a mix of blues and R&B classics, along with a variety of original.   Learn more
My Adventure
Student Video Contest Winner
Senior art and design students Mike Harrington and Keith Wilson won the grand prize in the 2012 NMU Student Video Contest in a campus-wide vote of the five first-place category winners.  The pair had captured first place in the “My NMU Adventure” category. Contest places | View videos
