Northern Michigan University offers rolling admission, which means that we process completed applications** all year long. No priority dates, no early admission. You can submit your application and application fee online, print and mail it to us, or we can send you an application form (e-mail admiss@nmu.edu to request an application).

We do not require an admissions essay, a personal statement or a counselor recommendation. However if there is additional information about yourself that you would like to share with us, please feel free to send it along with your application.

To pay the $30 application fee students may mail a check or money order (high school students can ask that their payment be included with the counselor form and transcript) or can pay by credit card by calling 1-800-682-9797 or 1-906-227-2650. You may also pay online. Application fee waivers and exceptions may be available.
