Parking Updates and Reminders
- All vehicles parked on campus must be registered and have a properly displayed permit.
- Handicap permits are valid in any campus lot. All other lot restrictions still apply.
- 5 daily permits are available each semester at no charge.
- Visitors are not required to obtain a permit from noon Friday - Sunday (all other parking ordinances still apply).
- Please refer to signs within the parking lots for specific parking space designations.
- Faculty/Staff and Commuter lots are open to any university-registered vehicle from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Exceptions are lots 9, 15, and 27.
- No parking in lots after 2 a.m. unless designated 24-hour parking.
- Parking permits may be transferred from one vehicle to another vehicle at any time through the NMU Parking Portal.
- 15-minute parking is available in lots 2, 9, 10, and 46.
- Vehicles not adhering to the snow removal schedule during the winter semester are subjected to a $75 citation and possible towing.
