Career Services

Career Services seeks to assist NMU students and alumni with career exploration and job placement concerns. It provides resources and services focused on assisting students with career placement and career decision-making activities linking NMU students and alumni with potential employers, teaching effective job-search strategies and providing supportive information and resources to faculty and staff in addressing the career-related concerns of students.

Cat Career Tracks

Cat Career Tracks is Career Services' all-in-one web system. For student and alumni, it's where you can search and apply for job opportunities 24/7. You can also host and manage resumes, cover letters and more. For employers, it's possible to post and manage multiple job openings. For pre-orientation students (not yet registered for classes), open on-campus jobs and other jobs in the U.P. can be viewed by visiting our Twitter: www.twitter.com/NMUCareerServic or follow us at @NMUCareerServic

Career Services wants to help students succeed. In addition to the Cat Career Tracks listings, we also offer a number of job-search workshops, job fairs, on-campus recruiting and more. Walk-In Hours

Sorry!  No walk-in hours on Friday (2/23/18)

If you are in need of some quick career advice or have a resume you need reviewed soon, consider dropping by the office during our walk-in hours.  Beginning on Monday, February 12, 2018, we will have regularly scheduled walk-in hours with our Assistant Director.  Below is the schedule.  As always, if these times don't work, you may always call our office to set up an appointment. 

Mondays 10 AM - 12 PM
Tuesdays 3 - 5 PM
Fridays 3 - 5 PM
