The Housing and Residence Life Office will be closing the 821 Summit and 821 Center Street apartment buildings after May 4, 2015. Because of this, current tenants in those buildings will be permitted to sign up for any available apartment space on Wednesday, March 18 in the Housing and Residence Life Office. All other apartment tenants will have to wait until Thursday, March 19 in order to sign up for a different apartment for next year.
RESERVING A DIFFERENT APARTMENT FOR NEXT YEAR

MOVING OUT OF YOUR APARTMENT AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER
If you are not planning on living in the on-campus apartments this summer or fall, you must notify the Housing and Residence Life Office in writing (email@example.com with "apartments" in the subject line of your email message) that you intend to leave the apartments at the end of the current semester. You will need to check out of your apartment by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2015 to avoid a termination fee.
If you will be taking summer courses, but moving out prior to the start of the fall semester, you must check out of your apartment by the Sunday following your last summer class. Please contact your Community Adviser for more details regarding the proper check-out procedure.
THE SUMMER RENTAL (STORAGE) PROGRAM
If you are reserving your apartment for the fall, but are planning to be gone for at least four consecutive weeks this summer, you may be eligible to participate in Housing and Residence Life's special Summer Rental (storage) Program. This program allows you to leave your belongings in your apartment and turn in your key. Housing and Residence Life will then store your belongings for a greatly reduced rate of $3.57 per day or approximately $25 per week. You will be able to sign up for this program when reserving your apartment for the fall.
|IMPORTANT! If there is more than one person living in the apartment, all tenants must participate in the Summer Rental Program for the same period of time. In other words, one tenant cannot live in the apartment if his or her apartment-mate is participating in the Summer Rental program.|
