Students kayaking on Lake SuperiorThe Summer College at Northern Michigan University is proud to offer our Summer Scholars Program. This merit-based scholarship is to support high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who wish to enroll in the Summer College.

To be eligible for this non-residential program, students must have completed their sophomore year of high school and have achieved a recomputed GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. While participating in this program, a student may enroll in up to 8 credit hours at NMU. Once a student enrolls, a 50% tuition credit (not to exceed more than the cost of 4 credit hours) will be designated on the account summary as a Summer Scholars Award.

To apply, students must complete the Application for Admission to NMU and the Summer Scholars-Dual Enrollment Application. Students will be notified of the award 2-3 weeks after receipt of all application materials.
