Computation of High School Grade Point Averages - For purposes of admission and scholarships, the grade point average of high school students is recomputed on a 4.00 scale (A+, A, A- = 4; B+, B, B- = 3; etc.) by counting all grades received in college preparatory subjects, for a minimum of six semesters. Grades in courses designated on the transcript as "honors", International Baccalaureate (IB), and Advance Placement (AP) - as well as college courses listed on the HS transcript - receive added weight in the computation.
