In addition to in-person tutoring, we also offer online tutoring options via Zoom. Online sessions are, at most, an hour; if you require more than a one-hour tutoring session, feel free to drop in multiple times.

*Note: The Writing Center is closed during the first week of the fall semester, reopening for both online and in-person appointments at the start of week two.

Main Office Hours

• For the first 2 weeks of Term 1 (5/18-5/31), tutoring will be online and by appointment only. Email hmihut@nmu.edu to schedule a tutoring session.
• There will be no tutoring offered during week 3 of Term 1 (6/1-6/8). 
• For the rest of Term 1 and Term 2, tutoring will be available on Mondays-Fridays from 9:00am-12:00pm at the Writing Center desk in the Lydia Olson Library. 
  • The Calendly link for scheduling both in-person and online appointments will be available starting June 9th. 

Woods Desk Hours

The Woods desk is located in the Student Success Center in the Woods dormitory building, right around the corner from Northern Lights Dining

• Closed until Fall 2026

The Writing Center will be closed on any major holidays, school closings due to inclement weather, and scheduled breaks (i.e. spring recess).
