Holiday/Seasonal Bonus Schedules

Human Resources has finalized the dates for the holiday/seasonal bonus day schedules for each fiscal year up through 2018. If you have any questions, please contact HR at 227-2330.

Updates to TIAA-CREF Retirement Plans will occure on March 10, 2016.  For more detailed information on the changes and information about the transition, please visit the <a href="http://www1.tiaa-cref.org/tcm/nmu/plans/index.htm">TIAA-CREF Transition Guide</a>.In order to avoid a late fee or the possiblity of courses being dropped, a tuition benefit request must be submitted for each eligible student before two weeks before the semester begins. For eligibility information and procedures, please review the <a href="http://www.nmu.edu/hr/node/166">Tuition Scholarship Program</a>.Northern Michigan University is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.  Employees are encouraged to review this program if they received loans under the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program and are currently making monthly payments.  If an employee chooses to apply to this program, the Human Resources Department will complete a section of the Employment Certification form to certify their employment with the university. The Blue Health Connection allows employees access to resources that help them stay healthy, get healthier, and manage illness. Family status changes (marriage, birth, divorce, etc) should be reported to Human Resources no later than 30 days after the change has occurred.  <p>Failure to notify HR of a divorce within 60 days may result in responsibility for any medical/dental/vision expenses incurred by your ex-spouse or ex-dependents after the date of divorce.
