Community Service Internship Highlights

Ben Scheelk’s presentation on behalf of EarthKeepers, at a world hunger banquet, raised community awareness to the plight of local and international hunger, poverty, and environmental issues.

Kerensa Bauman, Kara Granroth, Elizabeth Luce, and Anne Marie Swanson are together assisting the Lake Superior Village Youth Center with everything from fundraising to youth leadership programming.

TUITION DRAWING WINNERS
  • Congratulations to Molly Harkness! Molly won one semester of in-state undergraduate tuition ($3,252.00 value) in the Center for Student Enrichment Tuition Drawing which was held during halftime between NMU and University of Findlay on October 25!

  • Other winners include:  Garrett Todd won second prize which was $250 towards tuition; third prize was $100 NMU Bookstore gift certificate which was won by Samantha Evans; and Katie Dahlman won the fourth prize which was a $100 NMU Bookstore gift certificate!

  • Many thanks to students, parents, faculty, and staff for purchasing tickets and supporting leadership programs at Northern Michigan University!
