Current research is aimed at understanding how drugs influence behavior, particularly actions of antipsychotic drugs, which are used to treat schizophrenia and other neuropsychiatric diseases (e.g., bipolar disorder). These studies consist of both behavioral and neurochemical techniques. The goal of this research is to aid in the discovery of better treatments for schizophrenia and other neuropsychiatric diseases. If you are an NMU student who would like to assist us in this research, please contact the Psychopharmacology Lab Director, Dr. Adam Prus. For research details: http://psychology.nmu.edu/~aprus/
