NMU's College of Business was included in the Asia edition of Newsweek magazine. It focused on schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, which only five percent of schools in the world have earned.

Congratulations, Dr. Hart!

Dr. Claudia Hart was selected to be one of only two recipients of the NMU Excellence in Teaching Award for 2012-13. The award reflects the respect and confidence of her students, faculty colleagues and the University administration. She was recognized at the Celebration of Excellence in Teaching and Scholarship Ceremony on December 6.

MBA Professor of the Year

Dr. Ken Janson was selected by the 2012 MBA class as the MBA Professor of the Year. Professor Janson joined the faculty in 2001 after serving as director of D&N Capital Corporation. He previously taught accounting at universities in Michigan and Wisconsin. He was selected for his superb contribution to the academic and professional development of the MBA students.

Faculty Spotlight - Dr. David Rayome

Dr. David Rayome is a finance professor in the College of Business at Northern Michigan University (NMU).  He has been teaching at NMU since the fall of 1991.  On-campus Dr. Rayome is the faculty advisor to the Student Managed Investment Fund, an organization where business students manage a portfolio of stocks and bonds with the ability to buy or sell at any time.  Click here to read more about Dr. Rayome.
