New Business Venture Competition

Intent to Compete Form due by November 12th, 2014

Northern Michigan University students, irrespective of their major, are invited to participate in the New Business Venture Competition. Students working individually, or in teams of up to five, can submit a plan to start a new business and compete for prizes. To learn more or apply to compete click here.

Teacher of the Month Award

Sarah Lacrosse has been named Teacher of the Month for September 2014.

Tent Batchelor

Twenty-eight members of the Beta Alpha Psi (Accounting and Finance Club), led by Professor Trent Batchelor, were presented with an Innovation Award from the IRS for their efforts in completing tax returns for over 250 households free of charge.  To read more click here.

Alumni Spotlight: Mr. Stephen Koinis

Mr. Stephen Koinis is a licensed CPA for the state of Michigan, currently he is a manager in the Assurance practice with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Mr. Koinis graduated NMU in 2007 with a dual major in accounting and finance. Read the full story here.
