	Dr. Wong Steps Down Northern Michigan University President Les Wong, a native of California, announced he has accepted the presidency at San Francisco State University. Wong has served as NMU’s top administrator since 2004. Press release NMU During Dr. Wong Era San Francisco State University

	Haynes Named President The NMU Board of Trustees has appointed David S. Haynes as NMU’s 14th president, replacing Dr. Les Wong. Haynes is an NMU alumnus who has been professionally affiliated with NMU for 27 years in positions that range from teaching to directing a graduate program to presidential adviser on public policy.
