Participate in the Cat Packs program!
Donate the following items to the Cat Packs or volunteer at Cat Packs on Thursdays at 3 p.m. at the Salvation Army, and you will earn your team 5 points for every 10 items with a max of 100 points for WinterFest. These items will be donated to school children in the area whose families have expressed a need for food during the weekend when their children are not receiving free or reduced meals.
- Raisin boxes (6 count /1 oz. boxes)
- Applesauce cups (6 count)
- Easy Mac cups (4 count)
- Granola bars (12 count)
- Plastic Jars of Peanut Butter & Jelly
- Individual Packets of Oatmeal
**Food must be dropped off in the Center for Student Enrichment (1205 UC) by 5 p.m. on Friday, February 24.

Join us for a fancy WinterFest Dinner at 6:30 p.m. You can use a meal swipe or pay $10.25 for your meal. After dinner, cheer on your fellow wildcats as they compete for the Mr. & Ms. WinterFest. Then dance the night away at the WinterFest Formal. We will have a raffle with prizes from local businesses, University departments, and WinterFest swag, and a photo booth. WinterFest Human Sled Dog Races, Tug-Of-War, and Winter Obstacle Course
Sunday, February 18, 1 p.m.
Join us at the Vandament Arena for a fun afternoon of friendly competition. Help your team make the most creative sled for Human Sled Dog Races, be the strongest team to win the Tug-Of-War competition, and be the fastest team to complete the Winter Obstacle Course.
Campus Cinema Movie

Watch a movie on the big screen and win some WinterFest prizes. For every person that comes from your hall/student organization, you will receive 1 point with a maximum of 100 points for WinterFest.
WinterFest Airband Competition
Monday, February 19, 7 p.m.
Join us for a fun night of performances from residence halls, student organizations, the Hip Hop Dance Crew and Double Trouble DJs. Be one of the first 150 people in line and receive a free WinterFest Cup & Sticker!
WinterFest Open Skate
Wednesday, February 21, 7-10 p.m.
Lakeview Arena (Next to the YMCA on Fair Ave)
Open Skate features Double Trouble DJs. Skate rentals are $3, but if you have your own skates, it is appreciated if you bring them as supplies are limited. The event is open to NMU and Marquette community members. Concessions will also be available! Stay for as long as you like from 7 - 10 p.m.

Area between the PEIF/Berry Events Center
Set up your own party in the parking lot or join us under the big white tent - we will have heaters to keep you warm, hot chocolate, & Double Trouble DJs. There will be "Minute to Win It" games and a Mad Hatter Hat Competition. Queen of Hearts cards will be hidden around the area for you to find and win prizes. We'll also have a sign competition (groups of students will incorporate hockey & Alice in Wonderland into a sign) which will be judged at the tailgate for prizes, and then bring them to hold up during the hockey game. We will also have a Mad Hatter Hat Competition. Get creative and make your own Mad Hatter Hat to be judged and then wear it to the game! Be a winner in our "Minute to Win It' games, Mad Hatter Hat Competition, and our hidden Queen of Hearts competition, and you will get a chance to hit a hockey puck with a lawn flamingo at the NMU vs. MTU hockey game and win a basket of goodies!
Bus to Michigan Tech for the Hockey Game
Saturday, February 25, 3:30 p.m.
We will be providing a free bus ride for NMU students from NMU to Michigan Tech for Saturday's hockey game. The first 100 students to put their name on the list will have a seat. Sign-up will start Monday, February 6, at 8 a.m. in the Center for Student Enrichment (1205 UC). You will only be allowed to sign yourself up (ID is required). Student tickets for the game are $10 each and you must be paid when you sign up. If you sign up to ride the bus, you must buy your tickets with the Special Events Committee. The bus will leave at 3:30 p.m. from the Magers/Meyland, parking lot (Lot #11), and return to Lot #11 around 1 a.m. If you drive to the bus pick-up location, you can leave your car in Lot #11 until we get back, and you won't get a ticket!
