Loss Prevention Online Orientation Program

Students Taking Courses at a Distance

Welcome to orientation.  This program will only cover the basics and you may need to seek answers to additional questions by contacting your adviser, the Academic and Career Advisement Center or other resources after you’ve completed the entire orientation.  It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you take notes, or have access to a printer, while completing the program.

Please have on hand as you begin the program:

  • a credit or debit card or account information for a checking account, and
  • your NMU identification number (your NMUIN was included in your admission letter).

As part of the orientation, you will need to pay the orientation fee of $75 with a credit card or by entering your checking account information.  If you do not have access to any of these methods of payment, please contact the New Student Orientation Program (800-682-9797 or 906-227-1707).

Once you’ve completed all necessary steps, your registration hold will be lifted and you will be able to register for classes.  If at any time you run into difficulties, please feel free to contact the New Student Orientation Program (800-682-9797 or 906-227-1707).
