NMU Alumni Association

All NMU graduates receive a complimentary one-year membership, from the date of graduation, into the NMU Alumni Association as well as an alumni ‘e-mail for life’ full-service e-mail account.

Records and Transcripts

In accordance with The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and Northern Michigan University policy, all requests for duplicate transcripts and diplomas must be submitted in writing. Additional information regarding records and transcripts is available at the Registrar’s Office.

Career Services Recent Grad Assistance

NMU Career Services offers many services to alumni, including an online resume system, on-campus interviews, resume critiques, job fairs and web resources. Most of the services and programs provided through Career Services are available at no cost.

Parking Permit Refunds

Students graduating in December and leaving the university will be reimbursed half of the amount paid for the fall semester motor vehicle registration. All eligible departing persons should check with the Public Safety within 30 days from the last day of class for a refund. All other registration fees are non-refundable and this policy does not apply to May graduates as parking fees for January through August are discounted.
