Your Health Lecture Series Sponsors
The “Your Health” Lecture Series is a unique educational partnership between two universities, a regional hospital, a regional health education corporation and a major statewide insurance provider. The goal of the series to feature health researchers who can speak on a wide variety of topics of interest and importance to the Upper Peninsula population.  Most of the general public presentations take place on the Northern Michigan University campus in Marquette. While the speakers are in the U.P. for the series, they also meet with NMU classes and present at Marquette General Health System to the medical and laboratory staffs.

Marquette General Health System - A Duke LifePoint Hospital
Marquette General Health System provides regional medical care and services across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Included in the system is The 315-bed specialty care Marquette General Hospital, a federally designated Regional Referral Center and the region's Level II Trauma Center as verified by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. Northern Michigan University

Upper Peninsula Health Education Corporation
The Upper Peninsula Health Education Corporation (UPHEC) was formed in 1974 to coordinate the training of physicians as a campus of the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In the 35 years that have since transpired, the organization has grown and expanded to play a leading role in healthcare education across the U.P.  The UPHEC's U.P. campus serves as one of seven campuses across the state providing clinical training for medical students from Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine. www.mgh.org/uphec
