Good Health: It's More Than Just Health Care

Dr. Dean Sienko  of Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine presented the question, "Is today's health care effective?" in the second event of this year's 2012-13 Your Health Lecture Series. He discussed  how it's an illusion that access to health care translates to a healthy population and that while health care is necessary, it's often insufficient in leading to good health. He discussed whether so many of the United States' resources should go toward our current treatment-oriented health care system or should it go toward prevention health care.  View presentation
