Decided that Northern is the place for you?

Then it's time to get registered for orientation.  Transfer students are required to attend any of the following: the on-campus transfer session, any of the freshman orientation sessions, or the NEW On-LIne Transfer Orientation

During orientation, you will meet with an academic adviser, register for courses, get your student ID, and meet a lot of great people, among other things.  Register early, as sessions do fill up, using one of the methods below.

  • On your MyNMU account "Admitted to NMU" tab (MyNMU must be activated first by following the directions found here).
  • By going to www.nmu.edu/orientation.  You will need your NMU identification number for this method.
  • Call the Orientation office at (906) 227-1707 or (800) 682-9797.

Session schedules and more information about orientation can be found at www.nmu.edu/orientation or by calling the Orientation office.  If none of the sessions work with your schedule, please get a hold of them.  We look forward to you being a Wildcat!
