Beverly Matherne (English) was invited to read free-verse poetry and perform blues poetry at the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea, Wales, and at the Boat House, in Laugharne, where Thomas wrote what is considered to be his best work, including “Fern Hill.” The events, organized by Welsh poet Peter Thabit Jones and Seventh Quarry Magazine, were sponsored by the Dylan Thomas Foundation.
