MERLOT Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) is a leading edge, user-centered, searchable collection of peer reviewed and selected higher education, online learning materials, catalogued by registered members and a set of faculty development support services. NMU is a MERLOT campus partner.
The Sloan Consortium The Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C) is an institutional and professional leadership organization dedicated to integrating online education into the mainstream of higher education, helping institutions and individual educators improve the quality, scale, and breadth of online education. NMU is a Sloan-C member.

MERLOT’s Journal of Online Teaching MERLOT’s Journal of Online Teaching (JOLT) is a peer-reviewed, open access, online publication addressing the scholarly use of multimedia resources in online education.
Sloan-C’s Journal of Asynchronous Learning Networks The aim of the Journal of Asynchronous Learning Networks (JALN) is to describe original work in asynchronous learning networks, including experimental results. The mission is to provide practitioners in online education with knowledge about the very best research in online learning.

EDUCAUSE EDUCAUSE sponsors an annual conference and regional meetings regarding technology's role in higher education. Their site sponsors a searchable forum in which faculty contribute practices that have worked for them.

Lilly Institute and Teaching Conferences Lilly Institutes and Conferences are offered at various locations and times within the U.S.
TechED Held annually in southern California, the TechEd conferences weave technology innovation into all academic disciplines. Attendance is approximately 3000 faculty, technical support, and administrators.
