John Bruggink (Biology), former NMU Biology graduate student William J. Severud and collaborators from the National Park Service and Mississippi State University were coauthors of a paper published in The American Midland Naturalist. The article is titled "Seasonal variation in assimilated diets of American beavers."
A research paper by NMU exercise science alum Dan Kane, co-authored by Randall Jensen and Phil Watts(HPER), is one of three featured articles in the International Journal of Sports Medicine. It is titled "Effects of Stroke Resistance on Rowing Economy in Club Rowers Post-Season." Kane received his doctorate in bioenergetics at East Carolina University and is a faculty member in the Department of Human Kinetics, St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, Canada.
