Presentations
Jaspal K. Singh (English) recently gave two presentations. The first, at the Modern Language Association conference in Washington, D.C. in December, was titled "Transnationalism and the Politics of Representation in Gurrindar Chadha's Bend it Like Beckham, Piyush Dinker Pandya's American Desi, Bharati Mukherjee's Desirable Daughters, and Samina Ali's Madras on Rainy Days. At the Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities in January, Singh presented "Transnationalisms and Multiculturalisms: Intersecting Pedagogies in the American Classroom."
