Don Faust
(Mathematics and Computer Science) presented the paper, "Privatives
and Negations: what Evidence Logic has to say about them,"
at the 12th International Congress of Logic, Methodology, and Philosophy
of Science in Oviedo, Spain. He also presented a paper titled, "On
the Structure of Evidential Gluts and Gaps," at the 3rd World
Congress on Paraconsistency in Toulouse, France.
Kia
Jane Richmond (English) gave a presentation
titled, Preparing Future Teachers to be Partners in Learning:
Academic Service Learning in English Methods, at the Annual
Convention of the National Council of Teachers of English
in San Francisco. Richmond described/reflected on an activity she
designed to motivate English education students to include academic
service- learning components in their lesson plans for methods classes.
