Wildcat Kids Camp 2024


Registration for 2024 is FULL.

NMU Employees will be able to register their children on Feb. 28th prior to the community release on March 1st.


Summer 2024 Camp Day: 7AM - 5:30 PM

Wednesday, June 12 - Friday, August 16

There will not be camp on Thursday, July 4 or Friday, July 5 due to NMU closure/holiday. 

Drop-off and Pick-up will be located in the camp room, Dance Studio PEIF 130.

Cost: $45 Daily

Wildcat Youth Camp is a traditional camp for children from Kindergarten (must be 6 yrs of age by 1st day of camp) through 5th grade. NMU is the perfect setting for camp, featuring a centrally located base site for camp and indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate a wide range of activities.

Your child’s camp experience is our #1 priority, so our focus is on teaching new skills, promoting teamwork, encouraging sportsmanship and making sure that we understand and recognize the unique abilities and interests of your child. Join us all week long or pick a day or two that best fits your busy schedule. Programmed activity time is 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Early morning and late afternoon times will be used as kids’ choice time.

*Registration Instructions: Each camper/child will need to register individually. If registering more than one child, you will need a separate email for each child, the system is not allowing duplicate emails to be used. The following information is needed for registration: email, two parent guardian contacts, address, DOB, acknowledgement of waivers and the schedule for the entire summer.

NEW Payment Instructions: A partial or full payment option is available. If you wish to register for the entire summer and do not want to pay in full, you are now able to pay a percentage at the time of your initial registration. Full payment will be due based on the schedule below.

Monday, April 1st: Your credit card will be charged for remaining balance on days you are scheduled to attend in June. Refunds will not be given for dates cancelled after Friday, March 29th at 5p.m.

Wednesday, May 1st: Your credit card will be charged for any remaining balance on days you are scheduled to attend in July. Refunds will not be given for dates cancelled after Tuesday, April 30th at 5p.m.

Monday, June 3rd: Your credit card will be charged for any remaining balance on days you are scheduled to attend in August. Refunds will not be given for dates cancelled after Friday, May 31st at 4p.m.

REFUND POLICY: 25% payment at time of registration is a non-refundable deposit. No credit will be issued for non-attendance of registered days.

If you would like to pay in full at any time other than your initial registration, please contact the Rec Sports office at 906-227-2519.

We do not provide lunch and snacks. There will be a morning and afternoon snack period.  PEIF concessions will be open for the sale of bottled beverages and limited snacks.

Wildcat Tween Camp

Registration for tween camp is now full for 2024. If days open up, we will work through the waitlist and then open up registration if there is room.

Wildcat Tween Camp will provide your child with the chance to learn valuable life skills, make new friends, develop character, and discover new interests! 

Tween Camp is getting a makeover!

  • Dates: June 18 - August 15 (no camp July 2-4)
    • Tuesday - Trip day focused on hiking and exploring
    • Wednesday - Trip day focused on water activities
    • Thursday - Bike day, **bike and helmet are required every Thursday
  • Time and Location: 9am-4pm PEIF Rm 140
  • Cost: $50 per day, limited spots available
