Now available at the Central Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan University Archives : Seven reels of microfilm from Records of the Michigan Superintendency of Indian Affairs that contain the correspondence of Governor Lewis Cass to Henry Schoolcraft, 1814-1835, and the letters sent by the agent at Sault Ste Marie, 1822-1833. These reels correspond to the Henry Schoolcraft Correspondence papers on 69 reels which also document his time as US Indian agent for the tribes of the Lake Superior region, 1822-1841.
