Degree Programs

NMU's Music Department offers two degrees at the baccalaureate level. Non-music majors are also encouraged to minor in music, which may include the opportunity to enroll for private lessons and participate in either vocal or instrumental ensembles. Programs offered by the department include:  

Bachelor Degree Programs

Music Major - BA/BS

To qualify for a bachelor of arts degree, students must complete a language offered at Northern Michigan University at the 202 level.  (This is to differentiate the BA and the BS degree).
