Course(s) and eligibility:

3-credit Winter 2013 course: ED989/ED595/ED495. Must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, good academic and disciplinary status at time of program travel.
 
 

Term and approximate travel dates:

Winter 2013 course, with travel to occur in late June/early July 2013 (specific dates TBA).
 

Application deadline: 

Admissions on a rolling basis; final deadline, February 15, 2012. To apply, download FLSA application from International Programs website: www.nmu.edu/ipo or pick up form from IPO office in 145 Whitman. A $400 deposit is required to secure your admission to the program.

This program will provide undergraduate and graduate education students with an opportunity to partake in an elective course that combines service with the attainment of new knowledge as it relates to the Finnish educational system. NMU students will work closely with professors, educators, parents and students in Oulu area schools, allowing them to formally compare the American and Finnish educational systems at the classroom level.
