We are the Northern Michigan University Health Center, providing care to students and staff as well as their spouses and eligible dependents. Please advise as you approach graduation or if you won't be enrolled in the next semester, so we can assist in transitioning your care with a new provider. In the event a student is no longer enrolled, or suspended from the university, we will assist in getting your records coordinated to your new provider, please be respectful that you are no longer eligible for our services, we need to be available for eligible students and staff only. Services include our clinic, on-site pharmacy and lab services.
The center offers a wide variety of services, similar to those offered by a family doctor—from treatment for acne, colds or sprained ankles to annual physical and gynecological exams to HIV/AIDS testing, allergy shots or diabetes care. Referrals to specialists are also available.
The center is staffed by a dedicated clinical staff, our Medical Director is a board-certified physician in family practice.
Appointments are recommended, but walk-in patients will also be evaluated as to the urgency of care needed and treated or scheduled accordingly. No appointments are necessary for immunization and allergen shots If a situation is life threatening, call the campus emergency telephone number 911, or go directly to the Marquette General Hospital Emergency Department. If services are needed after hours or on weekends, there is availability at the Superior Walk In Center at the Upper Peninsula Medical Center from 9a to 9p daily.
Appointments may be made in person or phoned in. Patients eligible for Health Center services should bring their student or employee I.D. card to appointments or services.
