Course Description


NE 501 Nursing Science and Concepts of Nursing Practice
3 cr. (3-0-0)
Prerequisite: Admission to the MSN program or consent of the instructor

Focus is on the critical analysis of nursing theories and their application to advanced nursing practice. Conceptualizations of person, environment, health and nursing are explored. Theoretical terminology and criteria for the evaluation of theories are examined. Emphasis is placed on the inter-relationship between theory, research and practice.
