Financial Aid Application Procedures

To be considered for most financial aid available through NMU (other than graduate assistantships), students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in one of the following two ways:

1. By Internet, for faster, more accurate results. To have your application processed by using FAFSA on the Web, go to www.fafsa.ed.gov.
2. By mail. A hard copy of the FAFSA application form is available from the Financial Aid Office. Applications must be submitted by March 1 for maximum consideration.
