The mission of STAO is to;

1) create a network of working relationships between teaching assistants on NMU’s campus. 

2)foster broad student interest and participation in activities by providing leadership, programs, and service 

3) continually assist in improving the FYE program 

4) create a collaborative effort to educate our members in developing skills and leadership abilities.
