Nortrax, a subsidiary of machinery manufacturer John Deere, profiled NMU buildings and grounds personnel in the “Customer Spotlight” section of the August issue of its company magazine. The article provided an overview of NMU, along with a couple of photos, and explained how the crew keeps up with the demands of maintaining a beautiful campus and clearing impressive amounts of snow. The employees mentioned and/or photographed included supervisor Terry Eilders, operators Jim Robare, George Madosh, Veikko Heikkinen, Jeff Skoog, Brian Schmeltzer, Dave Raudio and Harvey Scherer; and mechanics/operators Dean Schmeltzer and Andy Buckmaster.
