Timothy Compton (Modern Languages and Literatures) published "The Spring 2011 Theatre Season in Mexico City" in the Fall 2011 edition of Latin American Theatre Review. He published a Spanish-language version of the report in Mexico City in the Revista de la Universidad de Mexico January edition. These reports chronicle Compton’s findings based on numerous plays he witnessed in Mexico City. It marked the 20th straight year he has undertaken such research in Mexico.
Simply Superior Catering and Events was the subject of a feature story titled "Remaking the Catering Department at Northern Michigan University" in the fall/winter issue of Campus Dining Today (see pg. 74). The photo at left, provided by Simply Superior, also was featured on the cover. The magazine is published by the National Association of College and University Food Services. Stephanie Raboin (Dining Services) wrote about the effort to create a unique identity for the university's conference and catering service after it was combined with dining services through a reorganization intended to increase productivity, enhance the end product for customers and expand the catering business. One of the main challenges she described was gaining recognition for the new name associated with an entity that had been established on campus for more than 35 years.
