As of 2013, the Michigan Department of Education will no longer certify students in elementary education with a Elementary Education English Minor. Students not able to complete all degree requirements prior to this date should not pursue this minor.

Note: Students choosing English as an elementary education minor, must then choose one of the following areas as their second elementary education minor: integrated science, social studies, mathematics, French, geography, German, history, physical education or Spanish.
