Elementary Education English Major
As of 2013, the Michigan Department of Education will no longer certify students in elementary education with a Elementary Education English Major. Students not able to complete all degree requirements prior to this date should not pursue this major.

| Social Studies Component |
| All students in the elementary education curriculum must complete a 16 credit hour social studies requirement. Any AN, EC, HS, PS or SO prefixed course fulfills this requirement, as well as ENV 101, FR 310, GC 100, GC 164, GC 300, GR 310, NAS 204, PL 270 and SN 314. These credits can be double counted with other program requirements. |
This major does not require a minor.
