Courtney Herber

Programming Assistant

Courtney is a native of Iowa, brought to the U.P. by NMU and the chance to work on yet another degree before applying for graduate programs. She hopes, over the course of the next few months, to be accepted into a PhD program specializing in history.  She has a B.A. in Elementary Education from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and she is currently pursuing a B.S. in History from Northern.  She’s also taken classwork in Public History and Museum Studies.  She has worked at and volunteered for a few museums and has enjoyed success as a hands-on educator.  In her ever decreasing amount of free time, Courtney likes to geek out on history books, sci-fi/fantasy TV shows, tabletop roleplaying, running and crafting.  Her kryptonite is cupcakes.

Gabrielle Hoffman

Collections and Research Assistant

Gabrielle is a Senior from Gaylord, Michigan, majoring in Anthropology and minoring in History.  Over the past four years at Northern, she has been involved in Superior Edge and also is the President of the Anthropology Club.  She has done internships with the Archeology lab in the Sociology Department, was part of the Beaver Island field school and has completed an internship with the Department of National Resources and Enviroment conducting archeology surveys.  Her goal is to pursue a graduate degree in Anthropology.

Adam Papin

Graphic and Exhibition Designer

Adam is a Senior from Bryan, Ohio, who will soon receive his BFA in Furniture Design.  Adam has created the designs for many of the Beaumier's exhibitions, posters and other graphic faces.  At NMU has been involved in the Art Student League, Blockheads (Woodworking student group) and All Student Judiciary.  He is also president of the College Democrats.  When not in the shop, Adam enjoys biking, hiking, snowshoeing and anything outdoors.
