A review of Beverly Matherne's (English) latest bilingual book is featured in the current issue of Metamorphoses. Matherne's book is a collection of linked prose poems about the early life of Lamothe-Cadillac, French explorer and founder of Detroit. It was reviewed by a French scholar from the University of Virginia, who praised its "strength and originality." Metamorphoses is the journal of the Five College Faculty Seminar on Literary translation. On a related note, text from  the book has been incorporated in Dreams of Glory, a musical composition written by Scott Harding, professor of music at Central Michigan University, and students at the Mackinaw Trail Middle School in Cadillac. The composition was performed at the school's 2010 Fine Arts Program Festival: America.
