Achievements

Paul Wright (Bookstore) has accepted an opportunity to chair the Course Materials Committee of the National Association of College Stores. The committee's charge is to develop and analyze trends and solutions related to course materials, develop educational content and solicit presenters for the educational sessions presented at the annual conference and assist in the review and revision of the Textbooks: College Store Retailing publication project. Wright also serves as a question writer/reviewer for the Certified Collegiate Retailer exam. He holds the CCR certification.

Six NMU students received Michigan Campus Compact awards for community service. Pictured at the April 5 awards ceremony are (left to right):Christopher Chase, a senior pre-med major from Marquette; Danielle Foulks, a senior human physiology major from Marquette; Betsy Ott, a senior English/writing major from Oregon, Wis.; Abby Kiley, a senior nursing major from DePere, Wis.; Angela Neumann, a senior accounting/financial planning major from Traverse City; and Paul Green, a senior secondary physical education/secondary social studies education major from Huntington Woods. Ott received the Commitment to Service Award, which is given to one student per member campus in Michigan. The remaining students received the Heart and Soul Award for their time, effort and personal commitment through service.
