Stephen Burn (English) published a review in the Times Literary Supplement in January. The essay-review discussed the influence of David Foster Wallace’s novelInfinite Jest.

 

Aimee Cree Dunn (English) published an article titled Power of the People: Indigenous Resistance to Corporate Invasions in the February Northwoods Wilderness Recovery Online Newsletter. The article detailed recent international indigenous environmental activism.

 

Mark Haltof (English) published a book chapter in Polish and a book review. The book chapter is about the death, mourning and memory in the films of Krzysztof KieŚlowski. Haltof reviewed Ewa Mazierska and Elżbieta Ostrowska’s book, Women in Polish Cinema, in Canadian Slavonic Papers.

 

Beverly Matherne (English) has the first entry in Louisiana in Words, a 2007 anthology of nonfiction shorts, a secular Book of Hours, containing work from 120 writers, published by Pelican. She read her entry at the book's launch at the Maple Leaf in New Orleans.
