Publications

Shirley Brozzo (Multicultural Education and Resource Center) had her poem “Circle of Life” published in Traces in Blood, Bone and Stone: Contemporary Ojibwe Poetry, edited by Kimberly M. Blaeser.

A recent issue of The MAHPERD Journal published by the Michigan Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance featured a cover photo of Deborah Choszczyk (HPER) and some NMU students conducting a workshop for physical educators to teach Scottish Highland dance. Choszczyk gave a lecture on dance history at the 2005 MAPHERD annual convention. Eight students who made the trip with her helped lead three dance workshops and gave an evening performance for attendees. They have been invited back for this year's convention.

Marek Haltof (English) published an article on “The Monstrosity of Auschwitz in Wanda Jakubowska’s The Last Stage (1948)” in The Ranges of Evil: Multidisciplinary Studies of Human Wickedness, edited by William Andrew Myers (Oxford: Inter-disciplinary Press, 2006): [eBook].

Kia Jane Richmond (English) wrote a review of "Approaches to Audience," which was published in the Journal of Technical Writing and Communication. She also wrote a review essay focused on four 21st-century English education textbooks, which appeared in a later issue of the same publication.

Will Tireman (Physics) co-authored an article that appeared in Physics Review. It was titled "Measurements of the neutron electric to magnetic form factor ratio G_En/G_Mn via the ^2 H (e, e'n) ^1 H reaction to Q^2 = 1.45 (GeV/c) ^2."

Harvey Wallace (HPER) wrote an article titled "The Operational Definition: A Valuable Resource for Local Boards of Health," which appeared in a recent issue of Exchange, a publication of the National Association of County and City Health Officials.
