These are only a small sampling of potential citations.  Many guides and reference handbooks are available to help you with the other possibilities that may come up – a commonly used one is Diana Hacker's Rules for Writers.  Remember to always double check the style if you're unsure. 

Also remember each of the following has an appropriate MLA or APA style:

  • Page numbers
  • Heading/Title page
  • Works Cited/References page
