Human Trafficking & Trauma Informed Care conference
We invite you to join us as the Upper Peninsula Area Health Education Center hosts a professional development seminar for health and other professionals, which will focus on Human Trafficking and Trauma Informed Care issues in our communities and best practices for screening and treatment for those working in the healthcare setting. Topics will address identifying youth and adult victims of human trafficking, applying screening and assessment strategies to assist trafficked victims/survivors and resources for reporting the suspected victims of human trafficking. Emphasis will be on creating a context in which deliberate networking, collaboration and sharing of expertise will create an approach of interprofessional development to address the trafficking issues of our communities. Please join us to enhance your professional growth and network with multidisciplinary colleagues, partners, and allies in the anti-trafficking movement.
