Ross Christensen has worked in the HVAC/R field for 17 years now. Starting in 1995, while he was attending NMU, he worked in the NMU Energy Management Department, and also for Honeywell Home & Building Controls Division.
Ross graduated from NMU in 1996 with an Associate Degree in Climate Control Technology. In 1997, he was accepted into the Upper Peninsula Plumbers & Pipefitters, U.A. Local 414 (Now Local 111) apprenticeship training school, and graduated in September 2000. Ross worked as an installer, and a s a HVAC/R service technician for various union mechanical contractors in the Marquette Area. In 2005, he started working here at NMU, as an HVAC Specialist for NMU Plant Operations. Ross is EPA Universally Certified, a Michigan Licensed Journeyman Plumber, a Michigan Licensed Mechanical Contractor, a Michigan Licensed Boiler Installer (2B). UA Journeyman Pipefitter, and UA Star Certified in HVAC/R.
Ross enjoys spending time with his wife, Jamie, and his daughter, Clara, and doing the usual Yooper activities: hunting, fishing, and relaxing at camp.
