Biographical Profile

Keneika Rowe has been in the Hospitality industry for more than six years. She has worked in various departments in the Hotel industry in the beautiful island of Jamaica. Her specialty in the Hospitality industry is Special Event Management. Her love and passion for the industry had led her to pursue her Associates degree at the Montego Bay Community College where she majored in Hospitality and Tourism and Entertainment Management with a concentration in Food and Beverage. Professor Rowe moved to the United States in 2009 to pursue her baccalaureate degree in Hospitality Management at Monroe College, where she graduated with highest Honor’s in 2010. In 2012, Professor Rowe graduated with her Master of Science degree in Business Management from Lehman College where she concentrated in International Business.

Professor Rowe has been an adjunct professor at Monroe College in the Bronx, NY for three years. During her years of teaching, she was given the opportunity to advise students in the Hospitality major. This experience had led Professor Rowe to engage with students and to provide mutual support that encourages students’ success. Professor Rowe had the opportunity to assist with the development of the Spring 2015 Semester Online Hospitality Senior Seminar Research Class at Monroe College. Professor Rowe believes in student success and tries to implement different collaborating events that encourage motivation and achievement. 

Professor Rowe is currently pursuing her Ph. D. in Management with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Change at Walden University. Her research interest is in Sustainability and Employee Retention in the Hospitality Industry.
