The Student Service Center was established to create a one-stop office where students can address a variety of issues. Students can receive many services and get answers to a wide range of questions about payments, registration, housing and financial aid, among other things.

Key Dates

August 10* - Fall tuition and fees due.

Due to a software issue and delay in

email notifications being sent, the tuition

due date has been extended by one

week.  Payments or enrollment in a

payment plan are due by *FRIDAY,


August 11 - Last day of summer classes

August 14 - Final grades due from faculty

August 22-23 - Orientation for new students

August 25 - The Student Service Center

will be open from 10:00 am-2:00 pm

August 27 - Fall 2018 classes begins

September 3 - Labor Day - no classes

November 17 - Thanksgiving break begins

at 5:00 pm

November 26 - Classes resume






March 1 is the suggested due date for the submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Even though there is no official deadline at the federal level to apply for aid, students applying for aid through the State of Michigan must submit their FAFSA by March 1 to remain eligible for state aid.


  • NMU does not send paper bills. Instead bills can be viewed and paid electronically on E-Bill. Parents can access E-Bill after a student has granted them access as an authorized user. Choose a link to access E-Bill.
